The trail is in excellent condition with just a few short old snow stretches at the top area. No microspikes needed.
Relatively uncrowded considering a not quite full parking lot. Many of the hikers we met on the trail had well controlled dogs. A chilly wind and a few snow flurries at the "bench" where we had lunch and took photos. We were pleasantly surprised that it didn't rain at all until we were almost back to the cars! A very nice, fun day out with a wonderful group of fellow Mountaineers!
