The entire trail, including the loop, is in good shape. Thank you to the Olympia Mountaineers who did trail maintenance recently.
Started at 8:40, hiked the loop from Horse Camp, up the left and down the right. Back to cars at 1:00. Rainy start and a lot of tree drips got us pretty wet. Chilly wind just below and at the Rose summit, so we stopped only briefly and headed down. The rain had stopped on our descent and clouds and fog hung around, but the sun peeked out occasionally. A few other parties were headed up as we were hiking down, no crowds though. Turned out to be a good day hiking.
