Trail is in excellent conditions. Expect mud this time of year.
The spring bloom has just begun, trilliums and wood violets were blooming. Debbie's View is a good place for a dinner stop. This was an after hours hike and so we needed to keep moving and the trail is a good grade to keep a good pace. One issue: the trail head gate is scheduled to be locked at dusk. The sign at the gate indicated that would happen at 7:45 PM, dusk was 8:26 PM. No one was there to lock the gate as we left, but I didn't like having my hiking time shortened by 40 minutes.
