Day Hike - Maple Pass Loop

Layers and micro-spikes were a must at higher elevation. The top of the pass was very windy and cold, several days of snow accumulation. This is a very diverse trail and we caught the last of the Larches in their yellow regalia. It's a beautiful hike and although we expected drier conditions with some sunshine no one was discouraged by the snow which made for a surreal wonderland. Just perfect. Can't wait to do this hike again. It's one of those diverse trails that will be completely different in summer and fall.
