Trip Report

Day Hike - Ingalls Creek

Beautiful colors with white snow in the background. Hike to Falls Creek Trail and back was moderate and the creeks were not bad to cross, occasionally with the help of hiking poles.

  • Road suitable for all vehicles
  • With cold temperatures, a clear sky the night before, and about an inch or so of snow that fell on Friday, we expected crunchy snow to hike on, we didn't need microspikes. With freezing levels rising and also with rain expected in the coming days, this may be a different story.
The trail was easy to follow and covered with beautiful colored leaves on white snow, a perfect contrast for us to take in all the time we hiked. Very pleasant experience. The weather also cooperated with us.
We started hiking by 8:30 am and returned back to the cars by 2:30 pm. There were groups of hikers (outsiders) who didn't bring their masks or buffs on this trail. Please ask your participants to mask up before crossing them as there is no place for them to stand 6 feet away except for only a few places along the route).
We started early so this was only a concern when we were returning back to the cars with 4 parties, I believe. The other few were very accommodating to wear masks and to allow for some space between individuals.
Other than that, the hike was very much enjoyed by all!

Below are some of the pics for your pleasure.
