During summer, there is high use by mountain bikers which can loosen up the trail. Trekking poles recommended. While not part of the route for the planned hike, DNR is logging, and has closed part of the Tin Mine route. Please check their website or signage near the trailhead for status updates, this can impact your overall route, if you are trying to complete the Green Mountain circuit.
The rhodies are no longer blooming, but there are great songbirds! Thimbleberries should be out another week or two.
