The trail is in great shape and well signed.
We had a beautiful warm evening for our hike. The parking lot was full, but not too many hikers on the trail. The woodland flowers (Trillium, Oregon grape, wood violet) are blooming and also the alpine flowers (paintbrush, Penstemon, Blue-eyed Mary) higher up. We enjoyed dinner at the balcony with a view of McClellan Butte and the valley below.
