The trail has been rerouted since I was here two years ago and is much improved over the old trail. There is some blow down higher up and the trail gets rough the farther you go, but you don't have to go that far for a good viewpoint.
Very pleasant evening. Our dinner spot had a good view of McClellan Butte. We were not at the spot the old trail took us to. There are several choices of viewpoint on the new trail. Forest flowers are blooming now.
