A sunny day hike east of the Cascade Crest, with no major trail or road issues.

The main issues for the trail is that it is shared with mountain bikers (we saw two) and motorcycles (none today) so there are deep ruts in places. Because it is not in wilderness, going around the ruts is possible.
There are great views from the lookout - bring area maps to ID. Bugs were annoying where the snow was still melting on the side of the trail and also at the summit.
Toilet located east of lookout, just off the trail, with a great view. There is also a toilet at TH.
