Weather was perfect with new snow, blue skies, clear roads, ambitious leader and willing participant.
Road was clear. Sno park drive and parking lot a little icey, but nothing my 2 WD truck with all weather tires couldn't handle at a slow speed. For some odd reason, I was the only participant in Patti's Xc ski group up to Meany for lunch, but how I lucked out, I'll never know! Great leader with confidence and adventure! Had a great time through groomed, ungroomed, and backcountry! Meany lodge is an incredible place that I can't wait to get back to. People sweeter than honey and the experience is worth the sweat! Trails best for N2 levels, if skiing in. You can walk it up to the lodge where it gets steep.
