Church Mountain

Five out of seven were able to attain the summit. Weather was cloudy, but nice and cool. No bugs to speak of. The trail to lookout is excellent, soft fir needles most of the way. Total trip time was 9.25 hours, 10.2 miles, 4100 ft gain. But the difficult part is the lookout to the summit. That took us 2 hours each way. This scramble is a definite 5 for technical, many saying the most difficult they have seen. We did see a goat on our trail from the lookout, but he went away before we got to his trail. Summit was cloudy, but we did have in and out sun on the way back.
