Snow. Too much snow for a CHS hike, even with microspikes and poles for everyone.
Even with everyone using microspikes and poles, there was too much snow to safely complete our original itinerary. We decided to change our plan after two students slid down the slope and several folks voiced concerns. Instead, we amended our course and made up part of the trail on an adjacent trail as student comfort with the trail conditions allowed.
