Bryant Peak/Hemlock Pass

7/28/15. Did this as a loop. We stashed bikes at Denny Creek trail head and then drove to Alpental. We hiked to Snow Lake and then Gem Lake, then scrambled up the ridge toward Roosevelt, traversed the face of Roosevelt just below the cliff bands to Chair Lake, then scrambled up and over Hemlock Pass to the Melakwa Lakes. We regained the trail and took it to Hemlock Pass. At this point, after visiting five gorgeous lakes, we were ready to scramble up Bryant. Returning to Hemlock Pass, we descended via the Denny Creek trail to our bikes. A quick bike ride up to Alpental completed a spectacular, gorgeous day. 12 hours Alpental to Denny Creek. 12.5 hours car to car. This is now my preferred way to scramble Bryant. Fantastic route.
