Trip Report

Boston Harbor Vicinity

7/9/14. Warm & sunny with a westerly breeze of 6-10 knots greeted us as we crossed the mouth of Budd Inlet to Cooper Point then after regrouping crossed the mouth of Eld inlet to Sanderson Harbor. We explored as far up the harbor as possible, (the upper reaches have more down trees than I remember). Enjoyed the silence and totally still air. Then followed the shoreline south for ~1.5 nm at first hoping to reach Fry Cove County Park. Ended up stopping short by a mile (+/-). Then crossed Eld Inlet back to the Cooper Point shore and followed it north to Cooper Point. The breeze was relatively steady all evening, giving us all opportunity for boat handling skill work. Back to Boston Harbor at about 8:45. Estimated 6 nm.
