All sorts of mushrooms & even a few foamflowers. Rattlesnake plantain and pink wintergreen (w/o flowers) are standouts.
Trail is in great shape. Venturing into the confluence added about 0.6 mi and exploring the not yet opened campground added about 0.5 mi (but could be up to 1 mi for a mini loop). The loop itself is 4.4 mi per signage.
