Big Creek Loop
1/9/22 road is good to trail head, be aware of ice where water froze over road way in spots. Minimal parking along road, lots of snow on trail. I highly recommend micro spikes. Too many limbs and trees over trail for snow shoes.

Lots of snow on trail. We went clockwise and there were many trees, branches on trail. Trail is compacted but still easy to post hole in spots. We picked micro spikes/gaiters over snowshoes and it was a good choice. We ran into a woman and her dog who reported the main bridge had snow to the railings and a tree over it. Her dog refused to cross and she turned back. We took that as a sign and turned around just shy the bridge. We did not encounter anyone who did the loop. Lots of dogs with people. I praised one dog owner for the booties on the dogs feet.
We probably saw 12 people and 5 dogs the time we were there. Only one set of people on snowshoes taking the short cut down to the road.
Second rest room near bridge was open but no toilet paper.
Road to trail good.Trail compact snow, lots of obstacles. Limited parking. Restroom unlocked.
