roads were bare and wet, with occasional patches of snow/ice. Used traction tires/4wd. Upper parking lot at Paradise (Mt. Rainier) almost all covered in a thin layer of ice. walking sketchy.
Set out for Nisqually Vista, taking the Skyline trail out of Paradise. Great views of surrounding mountains breath-taking. Weather initially forecast to be cloudy/rainy, yes it was overcast most of the day with breaks along the horizon to the south-east. Dry, no precipitation, but a cold wind from the south-west picked up and drove us off the mountain back to Paradise.
