Paved roads wet, forest Service roads muddy with snow near the top.
got to Longmire to wait for gate opening. When we found out that the gate would not open for the day, we packed up and executed Plan 'B', a snowshoe to Copper Creek Hut. We drove to the upper parking snow park just before the gate. then put ons snowshoes and hiked to the Copper Creek Hut, had lunch and returned. Weather mixed dry with occasional spits of lite rain/sleet/now.
