Basic Snowshoe - Kendall: Knobs, Lakes & Loops

A good day outdoors, in spite of light snow and rain conditions.

  • Road suitable for all vehicles
  • Roads to trailhead basically clear.  We followed a un-used Forest Service road.  There was an established 'rut' that we used as a path to follow. It was easy to observe and follow.

Driving to trailhead un-remarkable.  No one at trailhead when we arrived. We got our gear on and went trekking. Light snow falling initially, then turne to  snow that more resembled rain. Very wet. Found a spot to have lunch, and it was decided to return to vehicles. Long trek back to cars non-stop.
