Basic Alpine Climb - South Early Winter Spire/Southwest Couloir

The chockstone  was almost completely melted out requiring a 5th class entrance into the gully.  It was not my favorite lead I've done for sure.  The couloir looked good from below in fog but turned out to be melted out halfway up.  It's a mess of 3rd and 4th class loose rock, but did offer 1 place for a nice handline for students. On the last 1/4 we were able to use a handline to the summit from another Mountaineers team climbing the arete.  Thanks for that!
