Alpine Scramble - Satulick Mountain

Strong, fun group made for easy travel.  Followed Kautz creek trail to within view of Ararat, then cross country up steep grassy southwest slope to snow-free summit.  Down southeast gulley and cross country along Satulick northwest ridge.  Some very steep brushy slopes, better to have dropped down lower and east off the ridge.  Summit of Satulick snow-free and covered in flowers.  Departed summit via north-northeast path of least resistant to gain the Wonderland trail.  Traveled on Wonderland trail to patrol hut and then picked up Kautz creek trail back to TH.  Mostly snow free except at Indian Henry's.  17 mile loop.
