There some deepening potholes on the spur road in, and the brush is beginning to encroach on the roadway but trailhead remains easily accessible to a Forester.
Despite considerable haze there were good views of the peaks of the central Cascades. Mid-season flowers were abundant in the upper section of the route. Some of the party elected to ascend the steeper west face of the summit block, while others used the wedding cake ledge system to the east; we all descended by the ledges. Lake Lillian tempted one party member for a plunge on descent.
