Alpine Scramble - Not Hinkhouse (Point 6878)

We took the standard route up via Longs Pass; it's a relatively easy walk up from there.  We headed down the other way and, as expected, it's a little more challenging - with options ranging from T3 to T5 depending on your spice preference.  When the going got dicey we generally found that staying left was the easier way to go.  There was great rock scrambling all the way to Ingall's Pass.

From Ingall's Pass the route was a straightforward ridge run up Fortune Peak where we had a well deserved lunch and enjoyed the views.  We could see Fortune Pass below us and just about Lake Ann and that is where we headed next.  Rather than going all the way to the Pass we just bombed down to the visible trail below us, which we reached some distance south of the pass.  From there it was the standard death march back the TH.

Overall it was a very enjoyable trip - the rock scrambling was a blast and the views and weather were perfect.
