Alpine Scramble - McClellan Butte

6/17/17 - Snow started at 3860' with crossing a few avalanche gullies. Continuous hard snow started at 4000' all the way to summit block. Last 200 feet of snow was steep & hard. Crampons required. Summit block itself is snow free. Biting flies on the way up - bring repellant.
