Alpine Scramble - Hawkins Mountain

We started from the junction of FS-221 and the south road spur that is the start of the trail. The end of the spur has parking for only 2 for 3 cars. We headed south on the trail until the stream crossing, and then headed up to point 5202. There was an on and off boot path up the hill. After point 5202 we continued up the ridge, went over the false summit and on to the true summit. We came down one ridge north of the ascent route back to the trail (Hawkins Mtn. Trail)
