Alpine Scramble - Foss Peak/Unicorn Creek

It's an awesome hike/climb with stunning views and interesting ridge walk/scramble for my first time as assistant leader. So much fun watching students smile making their first ascent.

  • Road suitable for all vehicles

  • The route is straight forward in good weather and a great place to glissade. Just the right amount of steepness going up or down to safely challenge students and for experienced scramblers to have fun. Route finding could be challenge with poor visibility. 

2017 Scrambling students said this was a classic route and classy day (weather permitting) and it was. We had sunshine and all the students loved the glissade down. BIG smiles all around.
