Hike along different kinds of terrain, from shrub steppe to sandstone formations towering along the Columbia River to amazing patterns of clay and sand bluffs that line the valley. Barn swallows, coyotes, and different species of raptors reside on this great valley. On a good year, a palette of wildflowers carpet the desert floor.
