Squak Mountain: Sycamore Access

Hike from the Sycamore Access Trail or the Squak Mountain Access Trail on the east side of Squak Mountain State Park. There are many out-and-back and loop variations.

Getting There

The Squak Mountain Access Trail is 1.9 miles one-way from the Issaquah Trail Center Trailhead or 0.9 mile one-way from the trailhead on Sunrise Place. It ends at a junction with the East Ridge Trail and Sycamore Access Trail. The Sycamore Access Trail is a shorter (0.3 mile one-way) but steeper way to access the East Ridge Trail. The Squak Mountain Access Trail is a gently rolling trail that travels through quiet wooded slopes before a bridge crossing over a ravine with a burbling creek. From here the East Ridge trail begins its long climb to higher points in the Squak Mountain park. The Squak Mountain Access Trail's neighborhood access points have no designated parking lot, no bathrooms facilities, and no parking pass is required. Please respect the neighborhood!
