A moderate scramble off of the Mountain Loop Highway near near Darrington.
Getting There
From SR-530 to 6 miles north of Darrington, turn east onto Forest Road 26, Suiattle River Road, and rive 9 miles. Turn right onto Forest Road 25, cross the Boundary Bridge over the Suiattle River, and drive one mile. Turn right onto Forest Road 2510 and drive 0.5 mile to its intersection with Forest Road 2511. Park at this intersection (1,200 ft).
Ascent Route
NorthEast Ridge (5,678 ft)

Walk Forest Road 2511 to ~4,000 ft, leave road, and ascend the northeast ridge of Prairie Mountain, passing over Point 4734, to its summit (5,678 ft). This route is 9 miles round trip.
Alternatively, walk Forest Road 2511 ~0.2 mile. After crossing All Creek, head off trail easterly to Prairie Mountain's northeast ridge, and continue to the summit (5,678 ft). This route is 5 miles round trip.
