Milk Lake
A moderate, 7 mile round trip day hike with 1,700 ft of elevation gain. The trail ascends the along Milk Creek to Milk Lake with views along the way of the Devil's Slide cliffs and old mudslide. This trail is open to motorcycles.
getting there
Between mileposts 92 and 93 on SR-410, turn east onto Forest Road 1708. In 2 miles, turn right onto Forest Road 1707 and park on the right at the Milk Pond Campground.
on the trail
From the parking area, walk east on Forest Road 1707 for 0.5 miles. At the point where the road turns south, turn left onto the Milk Creek Trail. Follow the trail for 3 miles to Milk Lake.
Notes
- The trail is open to motorcycles.
- The clay soil in the area is extremely slippery when wet and it may be difficult to walk on the trail if it has rained recently.
