Lummi Island North Loop

Enjoy a stress free day walking along the north shore of Lummi Island. Starting at the ferry dock head north following the shoreline on the lightly traveled roads, making a seven mile loop. Enjoy the beautiful water views while traversing the island.

getting there

Take Interstate 5 to Exit 260 (Slater Road), turn left, heading west. Follow Slater Road 3.2 miles to Haxton Way. Turn left on Haxton Way. Follow Haxton Way 7 miles to the Lummi Island Ferry. Park in the area near the ferry dock.

on the Island

Exit the Lummi Island ferry turn right onto North Nugent Road. At the northern tip of the island North Nugent Road becomes W Shore Dr. Continue south on W Shore Dr. to Village Point, where the road will turn to the east and become Legoe Bay Rd. Continue heading east across the island to S Nugent Rd, where you will turn left and return to the ferry dock.
