Lake Isabella State Park
An undeveloped state park with hiking trails on Lake Isabella in Shelton near Olympia. It is a quiet and peaceful preserve of old pastures and orchards.
GETTING THERE
Take Exit 104 off of I-5. Stay on Hwy 101, turning north at the intersection of Hwy 8 and Hwy 101. Proceed to the Olympia Highway (SR 3) exit. Turn left and travel under the freeway, following W Golden Pheasant Rd for 0.9 mile and turning right onto W Delight Park Rd. Continue for 0.6 mile to the trailhead and parking on your right.
ON THE TRAIL
W Delight Park Rd intersects the park. Be sure to explore on both sides of the road. The trails are not signed but are easily recognizable paths. The park contains several loops that wind around an old farmstead, and leads to good views of the lake.
