Downtown Tacoma Stair Climbing Loop

Easy to moderate conditioning walk in Downtown Tacoma.

Depending on how much weight you are carrying, this is an easy to moderate conditioning walk covering 3.2 miles and 500ft of elevation gain.

The route starts and finishes at the Spanish Steps, near McMenamins in Downtown Tacoma. Walk towards the convention center, UWT campus, over the Glass Bridge, down to the Foss Promenade, up the Murry Morgan, and back to start, looking for any stairs to climb along the way.  This is a great route to join up with other Mountaineers in training for backpacking season or a special climb.
