Dobbs Mountain
A three mile round trip in the Elbe Hills State Forest near Eatonville. The hike follows a logging road and has a gentle elevation gain of 800 ft. Enjoy views of Mount Rainier.
Getting There
From SR-7 in Elbe, turn east onto SR-706, both known as the National Park Highway. Turn left (north) onto 278th Ave E and then left (west) onto 8 Road. Continue to the gate across 83 Road.
On the Trail
Follow 82 Road 1.5 miles to Dobbs Mountain. The hike follows a logging road and has a gentle elevation gain of 800 ft. The summit is at 2,767 ft, but there is no trail all the way to the top—stop at 2,600 ft and enjoy the views before heading back.
