Cape Falcon

Paddle from Manzanita around Cape Falcon and back. It's a challenging 10 nm trip along a spectacular rocky section of the Oregon coast with arches, caves and a good beach for lunch.

launch points

on the water

This is a gem of a paddle that can also be very challenging. All launches and landings are through surf on open, unprotected beaches. There is lots of high quality rock gardening on this trip (provided swell conditions allow), a large arch, and a beautiful long cave with multiple entrances and exits. There is also a good beach for lunch at Smugglers Cove, although one must negotiate through lots of surfers.
