Abernathy Peak

A challenging scramble of 11 miles and 5,200 feet of elevation gain. It is number 97 on the Washington Bulger List.

getting there

Drive SR-20 to Twisp River Road and continue 21.6 miles to the Scatter Lake Trailhead (3,150 ft).

approach & ascent

Hike the Scatter Lake Trail 4.2 miles to Scatter Lake then continue around the lake (either side) and ascend the rock ridge directly towards summit or scree slope just right of summit.
