A beautiful and strenuous winter scramble from Lake Crescent to vistas overlooking the pristine North Fork Soleduc valley and central Olympics. This ~8 mile and ~4300’ elevation gain trip to a 4800’ high point on Happy Lake Ridge is more strenuous than might be expected due to several miles of cross country travel. Participants should expect a late return as well as dinner in Port Angeles. Photos from a summer trip in this area can be seen here.
