I have never attempted this mountain before. Our goal is to drive up Forest Service road 4039 as far as we can, then walk to the end of the road. We'll then follow the ridge northwestward, then northward to the summit. If access isn't available from Forest Service road 4039, we'll walk up Marten Creek Trail to about elevation 2400, then cross the creek and head west until we meet FS 4039.
Ash Way Park and Ride lot, 6:00 am. Meet near the SW entrance to the lot. Alternatively, meet at the Verlot Public Service Center (a.k.a. the ranger station) at 6:45.
