Sauk River: White Chuck River to Darrington

Trip

Whitewater Packraft - Sauk River: White Chuck River to Darrington

Join me for a Class III river. Sauk from Whitechuck is one of my favorite runs, though, depending on river flow, we may choose a different run.

  • Class III River
  • Moderate
  • Mileage: 9.0 mi

About 9am, location determined by our ultimate destination.

We'll paddle a moderate to mid difficulty Class III river.  The Sauk from Whitechuck is one of my favorite runs and generally super fun from 1,700 to 2,500cfs.  If it is out of that range we may choose a different river section such as the Sauk from Bedal, the Silly Stilly, or something else.  My intention is to stick with in the Class II+ to Class III range.

This trip is suitable for people who have experience paddling Class III rivers or are confident on some of the more difficult class II rivers and are ready to challenge themselves.
