Sea Kayak - Boston Harbor Vicinity
Wednesday evening paddle out of Boston Harbor, Olympia, WA. This will be a special solstice paddle!! Registration/sign up is required. Route will be determined at the launch and designed for the group and weather/water conditions. Please know the goal is to manage the trip at the SK2-3 level, but the nature of this weekly trip series, and weather, is unpredictable. Participants need to assess their own comfort level and pay attention to wind levels the day of the trip. If it's very windy we will avoid as much as possible, but there are only so many options.

We will meet at the Boston Harbor boat ramp. Be ready to launch at 6:00 PM. That means your boat will be off your car and on the beach ready to be launched at 6:00 PM. Bring your discover pass because it is required.
Wednesday evening, SOLSTICE paddle out of Boston Harbor, Olympia, WA. Registration/sign up may be required again this year. Route will be determined at the launch and designed for the group and weather/water conditions. This will be a solstice paddle and participants need to be prepared to get the most from it if the weather cooperates. Sunset is officially at 9:10PM and we will have a rising tide the entire time. We might visit a special dolphin in Budd Inlet!

Required Equipment
These eight essentials plus The Ten Essentials are required on all sea kayaking trips. All but the whistle and clothing should be provided with any kayak rental.
- Floatation in both ends of the kayak
- U.S. Coast Guard approved Personal Flotation Device (PFD)
- Paddle
- Spray skirt
- Bilge pump with floatation
- Self-rescue paddle float
- Waterproof whistle
- Appropriate clothing for the conditions encountered seasonally
