Join us on our Naturalist Bat Hike at Woodard Bay. Walk past the cormorant colonies and arrive at the beach with enough time to read about our little brown bats before they begin to emerge from their roosts.

Meet at the western trailhead to Woodard bay that is right on the bay to begin the walk up the road to the bat viewing location. Meet at 7:30 p.m. Discover Pass required! 

We will walk as a group up a wide, closed off road, use binoculars to view the huge cormorant colony and then sit on the shore as the bats emerge about 9:06. We will watch them until about 9:30 and then walk back in the dark to the parking area.
