This will be a Naturalist Trip, led at a slow pace focused on stopping to identify the variety of moss and lichens available

Now open to all participants, not just those that have taken the 2024 moss class
This is a Naturalist hike we will be taking stops and time along the Traditions Lake and Wetlands Trail to identify the various flora. This area of Tiger Mountain is a beautiful forest walk, known to be lush with ferns, mosses and often mushrooms. We will explore the curves of the trees, the growth on the nurse logs and will do the hike at a slow pace. Please bring your book from class .

Please note: this hike will be led at a casual pace with frequent stops. You may need an extra layer to stay warm, depending on the weather. Hike will still go on in light rain, but be rescheduled in case of heavy rain
Meet at the trailhead main parking lot at 8am. This trailhead can get very busy on the weekends. The main parking lot has about 30 spaces. There is parking before the main lot, but it is about .5 miles walk, so please plan accordingly if you park there. We want to be heading onto the trail by 8:15am
Discovery Pass is needed.
