Naturalist Trip - Deception Pass State Park

We will bird watch, botanize and learn about the geology at several locations near Deception pass including Rosario Beach, Bowman Bay, Pass Island and West beach on Whidbey Island. There will be walking at each location, and no significant elevation gain.

meet at Rosario beach at 9:30 AM. We will carpool from the temporary park and ride  north of 145th St just off 1st Ave NE at 8 AM. We expect to spend the entire day in the Deception Pass area, heading back  by 5 PM.

  We have timed this trip to be able to see marine birds as well as early spring flowers.  Binoculars and scopes will make the birding better.
