Before signing up, please read the following for the expectations of the group.
- Register only if you are conditioned for such a long trip.
- The group shall agree to stay together at all times
- All should carry a beacon, shovel, and probe. And, know how to use them. When traveling in the backcountry it is recommended to have these on you.
- The group shall agree to respect everyone's voice and veto
- All participants shall agree to read the weather and avalanche forecast before the trip and be ready to discuss it as an equal participant.
Given the weather, snow conditions, and time available between gate opening/closures to recreate; we will intend to get to Mazama Ridge first and then proceed to Panorama Point as time permits to complete the loop before getting back to the cars.
This is a trip intended to be within and dependent on Mountaineers' guidance for Phase 1.5/2 (https://www.mountaineers.org/membership/the-mountaineers-covid-19-response).
