More details to come in an email Wednesday evening.
Leader permission. This will be more of a relaxed-paced snowshoe trip to get in some elevation training, and if the weather is good, really enjoy the views; however, each participant should have adequate fitness for going uphill and at higher elevations. We will pace to the slowest person and any fast people will need to remain with the group.
If you are a graduate of Scrambling, Climbing, Intermediate Snowshoe, or you are a prior year Intermediate Snowshoeing student who has completed all field trips, AND you can safely drive yourself and your winter capable vehicle up to Paradise, you just need to notify leader that you are a "winter driver". (Current Intermediate Snowshoe students should not be requesting permission without the training provided in the course fieldtrip(s).
If you need a ride up to Paradise, you will be on a separate waitlist in order of received until a driver is found who is willing to take others from at least Longmire. In your leader permission request, please 1) notify leader "rider", 2) what city you are coming from, and 3) any other carpooling preferences or important details.
Any drivers who are willing to take others, should notify the leader as to how many others you can take and from where. The leader will connect you all by Wednesday evening's group email unless carpools are already set. Please note that drivers are not obligated to take others.
