Meet at the western trailhead to Woodard bay that is right on the bay to begin the walk up the road to the bat viewing location.  Meet at 7:30.

This is great for kids who can stay up long enough and who are about 4 years and up.  We will walk as a group up a wide, closed off road, use binoculars to view the huge cormorant colony, play around the beach and viewing points, and then sit on shore as the bats emerge about 9:06.  We will watch them til about 9:30 and then walk back in the dark.

This is a family hike. Adults without children may be allowed on the hike if they are not displacing a family.

Hot cocoa and special bat cookies provided for all.

There is an outhouse at the site.

Trip will be cancelled if significant rain is expected.
