8am, boots on, ready to hike. Arrive at 7:45 to give yourself time.

If the hike registration is closed but spaces are available, reach out to me and I can add you manually.

To join this outing, it's important to have successfully completed hikes of roughly similar elevation, pace, and mileage in the last several months. If your Mountaineers history doesn't reflect hikes of this type, or if you're new to the Mountaineers, I may reach out for more information.

We'll be hiking at a relaxed to moderate pace, averaging between 1.75-2.0 mph, with adjustments for terrain. If you're accustomed to a faster pace (2-3mph+), consider this a recovery hike,  If you are not looking for a recovery hike, then you will likely find this pace frustrating, and this hike may not be much fun for you.

Group Style and Expectations: Our aim is to stick together as a group. If you can't see someone ahead or behind you, give a shout. Our focus is on enjoying nature, supporting one another, and perhaps making new hiking buddies along the way.

We will practice navigation at a couple of intersections; it's empowering and fun. So don't forget to bring your compass!

In consideration of our small group size, if you know you may need to cancel, kindly refrain from signing up immediately. This allows those who are committed to join. Last-minute spaces may be available for those uncertain.
