Meeting place and time

We will meet at the Olympia Haggen at 6:15 AM on February 24th and either carpool or caravan to the Mount Rose Trailhead from there.

Leader's notes

Climb conditioner for 2024 Olympia Basic Alpine Climbing (BAC) Course. Priority for 2024 Olympia BAC and scrambling students until February 21st. Request leader's permission before registering.

All Olympia BAC students must successfully complete a climb conditioner prior to March 16, 2024 (Field Trip 3). Successful completion of this trip counts toward the climb conditioner requirement. You must carry a pack that's 20 percent of your body weight or 35 pound (whichever is heavier) and reach the summit in 2.5 hours to successfully complete this climb conditioner.

PLEASE check your pack weight at home before leaving, do not estimate. Bring a few extra water bottles or heavy objects to supplement the weight if necessary, we will check our packs in the parking lot before leaving.
