Day Hike - Mima Mounds

South Puget Sound is blessed with a unique prairie ecosystem that comes into bloom in the spring. Join the Naturalist Committee of the Olympia branch for a leisurely paced evening walk through the Mima Mounds. We will observe the beautiful spring bloom and debate the theories of the formation of the mounds. Mima Mounds is a National Natural Landmark managed by as a Natural Area Preserve by the Department of Natural Resources. Adults and families are welcome.
