Wildflower Family Hike and Picnic. It is time to be awed by the camas lilies and check out the bugs, beetles, and butterflies that also come out in the spring!

Meet at the parking lot of Mima Mounds at 6:00. Be sure to bring your Discover Pass. We will congregate at the picnic tables for a picnic dinner and begin our stroll at 6:30. Park closes at 8:00pm.
Hopefully the camas and other wildflowers will be in full bloom, so this is a stroll to enjoy the beauty while learning about the special environment of the prairie.
We will have flower and bug identification info available.
Kids will be encouraged to learn the names of three wildflowers and three insects of some type.
Required Equipment
Bring Discover Pass.
Parents are expected to bring a backpack with simple 10 essentials.
Kids should each have a pack with spare clothing, water, snacks, and ten essentials appopriate to their age.
Leader will bring bug and flower guides and bug boxes and binoculars, but you are encouraged to bring your own if you have any of these.
Bring sack dinner.
Flower or bug cookies will be provided by leader.
